Miriam Grunstein, Ph.D., is chief energy counsel at Brilliant Energy Consulting, a nonresident scholar at the Center for the United States and Mexico, and a part-time professor and researcher at the Universidad ORT Mexico. Her consulting and research focus on energy law, public regulation, administrative law and international transactions.

Miriam Grunstein has practiced energy law in the Mexico City offices of several international law firms and represented energy companies in a variety transactions. Her legal publications include books and articles on energy law, especially as it relates to hydrocarbons.

 

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Latin American studies from the University of New Mexico, a law degree from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, and a doctorate ( from New York University in the language and literature of Spain and Portugal.
