Dr Marianthi Pappa possesses a diverse background in legal practice and academic research.

 

She earned an LLM in Oil & Gas Law and a PhD in International Law of the Sea, both from the University of Aberdeen, and is an associate fellow in the Higher Education Academy of the UK. Along with her research in Aberdeen, Marianthi taught a range of legal and interdisciplinary courses. She also organised seminars for LLM students on research methods and critical writing.

Marianthi joined the School of Law of the University of Nottingham in 2018. She teaches 'Law of Contracts' and 'Understanding Law' at Undergraduate level and is convenor of the LLM modules 'Introduction to Energy Law' and 'International Law of the Sea'. She is also deputy senior tutor, convenor of the Postgraduate Research Seminar Series, and coordinator of the PhD peer-mentoring scheme.
