Born in Luanda in 1962, José Octávio Serra Van-Dúnem graduated in Philosophy from the Faculty of Human Sciences of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Lisbon) in 1988. He holds a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Rio de Janeiro Research Institute (IUPERJ / IESP), Cândido Mendes University, Brazil, in 1999.

 

In 2003, he obtained a PhD in Sociology from the same Institute and the Cândido Mendes University / Rio de Janeiro State University. He also holds several postgraduate degrees in various subjects.

He is currently Director of the Center for Legal, Economic and Social Studies of the Law School of the Agostinho Neto University (CEJES), Coordinator of the Master's Degree in Law, Petroleum and Gas Business Management and Associate Professor (Regent) of the Faculty of Law of the Agostinho Neto University, Luanda and the Law School of the Catholic University of Angola, Professor of Ethics and Professional Deontology and Corporate Social Responsibility, at the Angolano de Investimentos Bank Training Academy, Professor and guest researcher at three Brazilian Universities, Chairman of the Angola Observatory, founder Researcher of the Center for Studies and Research in Population (CEIP) of Agostinho Neto University,Business Consultant and Senior Researcher and founder of "Angola-Institute of Economic and Social Research (AIP).
