André Sá Machado joined PARTEX OIL AND GAS GROUP OF COMPANIES (“PARTEX”) in 2003 as senior legal counsel. Based in Lisbon, Portugal, his practice has included the negotiation, drafting and reviewing of international joint venture agreements, joint study and bidding agreements, farm-out and participation agreements, concession and production sharing contracts, joint operating agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, and also Gas and LNG sale and purchase agreements, pipeline transportation agreements, drilling contracts and other service contracts.
He has been responsible for the review and analysis of current and new oil and gas legislation, the preparation of corporate governance documentation, and for providing general legal advice on all issues arising from various agreements governing PARTEX’s operations, including contractual, commercial, tax, customs, insurance, employment, labor and arbitration matters.
He has been the Company Secretary of PARTEX since 2011, and in 2017 he was appointed Secretary of the Management Commission of PARTEX. He has continuously participated in several oil and gas training courses across the world and was invited as a course speaker in 2010 and to present books on oil and gas matters in 2016. He is member of the AIPN since October 2008.
